Historical data (Jan 2023 – Aug 2026) is drawn directly from the WORLDS Booking & Technical Database (Airtable). A venue is counted as active in a given month if it has at least one confirmed show date falling within that month. Giant screen cinemas and flat-screen theatres are excluded throughout; only Digital Fulldome planetariums and 360° theatres are included. Venues with a booking status of "Not Suitable", "Decided to Pass", or "Show Completed" are excluded from all counts.
Sept – Dec 2026 active figures (45, 55, 60, 68) are management estimates based on confirmed venue conversations and pipeline knowledge, not yet reflected in the bookings database.
Total network (faint blue line) is the sum of active and dormant venues each month — the full pool of eligible venues that have hosted at least one confirmed show in the WORLDS network to date. It grows as new venues are onboarded. The 2027 projection for this line uses a central estimate (midpoint of the additive and multiplicative methods described below), extending smoothly from the Dec 2026 figure of 121 to approximately 180 by Dec 2027.
Conservative 2027 active projection applies the average annual absolute increment observed across 2023–2026 (+12.4 venues/year) to each corresponding 2026 month. Optimistic 2027 active projection applies the average year-on-year growth ratio observed across 2023–2026 (×1.55, i.e. 55% YoY growth) to each corresponding 2026 active figure.
